Take the first step toward better vascular health.

What is PAD?

One in every 20 Americans over the age of 50 has Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), a serious condition that increases the risk of heart attack and stroke.

PAD occurs when cholesterol and other fats build up in the walls of the arteries that supply blood to the limbs. This buildup—called plaque—narrows the arteries and can block blood flow, causing dangerous ulcers and increasing the risk of amputation.

Common Symptoms of PAD

  • Leg pain (claudication) during walking or stair climbing
  • Fatigue, heaviness, or cramping in buttocks, thighs, or calves
  • Pain in legs and feet that disturbs sleep
  • Slow-healing or non-healing wounds on toes, feet, or legs

  • Skin discoloration (pale or bluish feet)
  • One leg colder than the other
  • Poor toenail or leg hair growth
